South Korea is one of the best places in the world to source clean, well-maintained used cars. Vehicles are typically driven on good roads, serviced on schedule, and kept rust-free — which is why buyers across the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia and beyond import Korean Audis, Mercedes-Benz, BMWs and Hyundais every week. Here is exactly how the process works with HD Trading.
1. Choose your car — or tell us what you want
Browse our current stock and pick a vehicle, or send us the make, model, year and budget you’re after. We buy fresh from Korean dealer auctions weekly, so even if it isn’t in stock today we can usually source it within one to two weeks.
2. Get a full quote and a Proforma Invoice
Once you confirm the car and your destination port, we send a complete quote (FOB or CIF) and a Proforma Invoice on company letterhead — the exact car, VIN, price and shipping terms, in writing, before you pay anything.
3. Payment to the company account
After you approve the invoice, payment is made only to the HD Trading Co., Ltd corporate bank account — never to a personal account. If anyone ever asks you to send money to a personal account, it isn’t us.
4. Inspection, export papers and de-registration
The car is given a final inspection and cleaned. We handle the export certificate and cancel the Korean registration, so the vehicle is legally cleared to leave the country.
5. Shipping and your Bill of Lading
Your car is loaded at Incheon or Pyeongtaek by RoRo or container (see our guide on RoRo vs container shipping). Once it’s on board you receive the original Bill of Lading and full export documents to clear it at your port.
6. Clearing at your destination
Import duties and taxes depend on your country, but you’ll have every document you need. Typical transit times range from 2–4 weeks to the Middle East up to 5–7 weeks to South America.
